design, operations and maintenance to meet current regulations.
Contributed to a client policy manual for implementation of
the state and federal underground
storage tank regulation requirements for release detection.
Prepared the spill control and containment system design philosophy
which defined the
various spill control areas of the client's facilities and
the design considerations at each.
Preparation of client procedures associated with the operation
and maintenance of the
completed property improvements including the equipment wash
and the hydrocarbon
storage tank areas.

Description:
Development and presentation of a pollution
control training program module
for first line supervisors at marketing petroleum product
terminals. Primary focus of the
program covered the control of air and water pollution. The
primary potential for release of
hydrocarbon vapors to the atmosphere is at the storage tank
farm and at the tank truck loading facility. The control of
oil pollution involved the separation and individual management
of permanent oil bearing flows, intermittent oil bearing flows,
and oil free flows to eliminate
potential contamination of the environment.
